Tshepo Matjila | Founder, Editor-In-Chief

Tshepo is an eternal optimist…he believes in the power of ideas and the development of other’s potential.

Tshepo is a B.Com graduate from the University of Pretoria. During the day he can be found in the boardrooms of corporate South Africa consulting on business & process analysis; at night he moonlights for YBS & other NGO work.

Tshepo would be responsible for editing YBS content and contributing towards the features article on the YBS site.

 

Nzwaa Jombile | Deputy Editor

Nzwakazi Jombile was born, bred and buttered in the Eastern Cape. Nzwaa, as she is fondly known, is a lover of words: written, read and expressed – not much spoken.

Nzwaa studied Journalism with Boston Media House after years of trying to get a degree in Accounting. As Nzwaa puts it, ‘I loved numbers, but numbers had no for love me.’

Nzwaa is currently learning ropes of Advertising with Morrisjones and loving every moment. Morrisjones has also given her an opportunity to work on their NGO – The Homecoming Revolution (an organisation that encourages and assists South Africans around the world to return home).

Nzwaa is also an aspiring poet and harbouring ambitions of writing a poetry book some day. When Nzwaa is not trying hard not to be awesome she is busy translating recipes for one of the leading SA Chef’s.

 

Nonhlanhla Mnisi | Inspiration Writer

Nonhlanhla Mnisi is inspiration personified. After suffering multiple personal setbacks she chose to rise rather than to stay down and become part of the statistics. Today Nonhlanhla is an Honours graduate in Business Management from the University of Zululand.

Nonhlanhla is also a published author and speaker. Her first book of poetry is called ‘Life Changes’ and is published in the UK by Xlibris Publishing (www.xlibrispublishing.co.uk/LifeChanges.html). Nonhlanhla will be writing mainly inspirational articles to help you unleash your own talent.

 

Mpho Mokwena | Poetry & Features Writer

Mpho is a passionate, driven and very spiritual being with deep interest in youth development, poetry and creative writing.

Mpho is a B.Com Marketing Management graduate from the University of Pretoria with extensive ERP implementation track record throughout Africa. During the day Mpho plans & organizes youth & corporate empowerment sessions and moonlights as a poetry & features writer for YBS.

Mpho would be responsible for some of YBS’ emotive, provocative and insightful article.

 

Tshepo Montsitsi | Politics Writer

Tshepo has extensive involvement with media journalism having worked for AU Magazine as a freelance journalist for many years. Tshepo has won numerous awards at the Youth Enterprise Society (YES) and the ‘Best Achiever Award’ at Boston City Campus, Pretoria. He brings his wealth of experience and backing in journalism with a qualification in Journalism from Boston.

 

MaBlakana | Sport Writer

MaBlakana is one of the fastest rising sport commentators in South Africa today. She was selected among many hopefuls to be part of the 2010 FiFA World Cup support staff and has met many distinguished footballers and sports people thence. MaBlakana has a qualification in Journalism from Varsity College.

 

Hlabangani Mtshali | Features Writer

Hlabangani Mtshali is ’90s baby born in Piet Retief, raised in Nelspruit, but currently navigating the concrete jungles of Gauteng. He is also a final year Journalism student from Varsity College.

 

Dineo Huma | Features Writer

Dineo is a Journalism student from Pretoria. She describes herself as “passionate about Journalism, hard working and take my work very seriously.” Dineo will be writing features for YBS and is also a VC students.

 

Bongo Mazwana | Entertainment Diary

Bongo works for Ndalo Media as Lifestyle Assistant. Bongo will be giving us a sneak peak into her everyday life as an Assistant Lifestyle Coordinator in one of South Africa’s leading Media Companies. Besides running around making sure Destiny Magazine and Destiny Man profilees look fab, Bongo has a daughter that she adores. And yes, she cannot get enough of stilettos.
